Micheal is one of the featured artist in the newly released film 800 CD’s. Every artist experiences the same thing, the excitement of recording their songs and receiving the first 1,000 CD’s. After selling some to fans, giving some to family and friends and sending out copies to a myriad of music and industry people, now what? This entertaining documentary shows independent artists learning and applying some of the largely unknown strategies necessary to clear their living room floors of the piles of boxed up CD’s that remain.

Relish in the musical sounds of solo artists and bands as we join together for the Kick-Off of the Squeaky Wheel Tour (SWT).

The SWT is a reminder that Gina Bos walked out of a pub after a performance Oct 17, 2000 and vanished. GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation was created in her honor to utilize entertainment to gain international attention for missing people. Last year, 10 people profiled during SWT’s two week tour were found! Let’s bring one home this year. Tickets are $15.

I’ve been invited to perform at the infamous Marine Room in Laguna Beach on Tuesday night! The legendary Beth Fitchet Wood will be hosting the Songwriter’s Showcase from 8-11, I’m scheduled to play around 9:00pm. Who knows what the various musical talents will bring to the stage but you can rest assured it will be an entertaining evening. The Marine Room is a very intimate setting and I’ll be experimenting with some new stuff that I’ve just written. $5 Cover

August 1, 2006 - Micheal Finnerty's self titled debut CD will be released on August 1. The CD is alive with various tempos to match each of the three diverse music styles showcased. You'll hear everything from traditional classic rock, to rock with a more abrasive edge, he's also included a ballad, all with the story telling characteristic which has become synonymous with Micheal Fnnerty. The Irish born singer, songwriter insists on releasing this collection first to his true home, Ireland. While his musical influences are diverse, he has made a conscious effort to divest from traditional Celtic sounds, but does maintain the story telling qualities inherent in Irish music.
